3GW of new Solar-thermal in developing countries by May 2013 is an excellent start. However, I would like to see 30GW installed capacity in equatorial countries with an intent to inter-connect for meeting the global-demand for renewable energy. Are there not enough investors-interest to transform our planet into a sustainable economic-growth path going-forward for billions of years?

It seems as though coal is poking around for market weaknesses to try and make a last stand as solar prices continue dropping and begin breaching grid parity globally. All of the competing bulk technologies except wind perceive that we are entering the end-game for bulk control. I wonder: does India subsidize it's rail and thus give huge indirect incentives to coal the way the U.S. does? kyle sager helioshirt.com
