Ironically, the Oil Industry itself is all to aware that “the age of oil” is soon to be a thing of the past. Sadly, they choose to keep their hand in the jar rather that do the sane and moral thing of truly thinking of themselves as “energy” companies and lead the way to a post carbon energy paradigm. Rather than choosing life they choose death. What scares me is that they might drag us along with them.

We are, at this time, in the thick of a serious battle to save civilization. We face a multitude of problems from water quality to food production due to an increasing population. These problems are real. We also face problems caused by compromised politicians and corrupt presstitutes. These are man-made and and can be solved (though I must admit that I’m not sure what the best course of action should be in this regard?)…

I recently viewed a couple of great talks on TED about this issue that folks here might be interested in watching. Are we going to make it-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1y2wll2Ve8 and another one on algal oil that I believe will ultimately replace fossil oil as our “go to” liquid fuels source. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJhgGbRA6Hk

I would say enjoy but since this issue is so serious I’ll just say watch and learn….then take any action that you can.

We don’t have a single chance in hell of moving forward and progressing if we continue to allow corporate lobbying. I’m not even sure why the concept exists?

This article resonates quite well with the fact that John Watson, Chevron CEO recieved at 52% rise in his compensation during 2011. That is the very definition of greed, gluttony, and evil.

The petroleum industry is dying, and they can’t change that. They’ll die fighting, but they will die.
