Similar to Chris DeMorro, when news first came out about an electric DeLorean, I first thought it was a joke, and then a fanciful dream — but now it looks like it’s a true reality. This story makes me kinda scatch my head and say… why? The demand for this car can’t be big. The only thing special the original car had going for it was the movie, and a love it or hate it style. It wasn’t a performer or anything, and there’s not the same mystique surrounding it as some of the dead muscle cars, like the Chevelle. Plus the pricetag alone makes it largely unaffordable for everyone but the 1%, as I think it would be tough for this to be a primary car for anyone with a familiy.
