Regarding solar over parking lots: sometimes I feel like I’m missing something — why is this not being done more places? Obviously, it costs a *little* bit more, but many places providing shading for cars anyway.

Now look at those big parking lots. A wonderful place to put PV, plus it shades the cars so they aren’t ovens when you get out of the game.
