		<description><![CDATA[Americans know Smith for its Newton truck. Here in the UK they are equally well known for their smaller Ford-based Smith Edison delivery van,  hundreds of which are in daily use. This step van fits nicely in between the two sizes. Ford have said that their next generation of the Ford Transit, previously unavailable in the US, will be built in the US, at its Kansas City plant, which conveniently is just a stonesthrow from Smith&#039;s main base. So I guess the Smith Edison will become available in the US fairly soon, giving Smith a very comprehensive range of models. ]]></description>
