Great concept and images. It looks Amazing. I know it is not fun to put together any of the IKEA stuff but there is help. I know John Webb Construction & Design designs and install IKEA kitchens and other cabinets. It is now fun trying to follow the the stick figure to put together these cabinets.

I love the thought having this size house. it is easy to manage and pay for utilities. This size house reminds me of European living. no more McMansions.

great stuff

Don't forget to include the fact that it is fully furnished as well. I do agree though without the land being included that it seems a bit overpriced.

I looked on the web a bit and prior to the recession new residential construction seems to be running in the $100-150 per square foot range in the Dallas area.

Of course since the economy augured there are houses in many parts of the country that are selling far below replacement level. I bet if you look out in the parts of Texas that are running out of water you can find houses for $20/sq.ft. or less.

BTW, the population is still increasing in California. If you're getting folks moving into Texas that's just churn.... ;o)

I guess it definitely depends on where you live...in the DFW metroplex in TX this would be considered far overpriced...not a bargain at all. I guess that's why so many Californians are flocking here to live! :-)

That's around $115 per square foot. Hard to build a house for that price these days, at least in CA.

Problem that I have with this house is that it's ugly. It's the problem with most manufactured housing.

There's no reason that factory built houses have to be unattractive. If nothing else, ship them without a roof and do a quick truss/shingle roof in order to get some roof pitch, slope changes, and larger overhangs. Not much is saved by roofing in the factory as opposed to roofing in the field. Roofers are very efficient.
