It is excellent.

If you're in favor of Brits spending more for electricity and increasing the pile of hazardous radioactive waste they're leaving their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, ....

What is it with Britain and its former colonies, Australia, Canada and the US? Is there something in the genetic Brit gene poll that creates stupid conservative parties?

Is it perhaps a desire to grieve the loss of Empire by just destroying the planet?

Unfortunately, the Conservative party's electorate is fed a daily diet of nonsense by the rightwing press: endless junk science and unbalanced reporting to feed an anti-renewables backlash. These same publications - The Mail, the Telegraph, The Spectator, and to a lesser degree the Murdoch papers - are also full of outright climate change denial. And although the Prime Minister seems to know better (he has access to experts, rather than hacks), he hasn't the guts to challenge the obscurantism in public. So British conservatism slides towards the same strategic blindness that now pervades the Republican Party. It's quite concerning.
