As clean energy becomes cheaper than dirty energy, liberals are going to visibly become the agents of economic rationality. So where will this leave the conservatives? After years of claiming that energy reform is a socialist plot how will they confront the reality that it is actually a capitalist innovation? Obviously we're headed toward another conservative inflection point where the narrative is conveniently changed. Within 10 years perhaps we'll see conservatives blaming liberals for being too slow at mothballing the coal plants.

There is only one problem though. People can only be easily brainwashed once. Once Fox has indoctrinated its followers, how does it go about erasing and replacing the previous narrative? I predict lots of cognitive dissonance amongst those who can't keep up with the pace of conservative historic revisionism.
