Sorry, I couldn’t really up Chris’ title for this one. Looks like GE and GM are teaming up a bit — good stuff. While GE’s in a bit of trouble with the American public for not paying any taxes, it’s looking to up its green brownie points with a pretty aggressive green car push.     GE is a major builder of wind turbines. They are opening a solar panel factory and plan on producing large amounts. They have also produced a natural gas turbine that is optimized for solar/wind backup.

    Does it make sense for a company called General ELECTRIC to help electric cars get up and going?

    They aren’t General Petroleum….

    I certainly wouldn’t complain if my company “forced” me to drive a Volt and was going to pay for it and all my charging.
