Very cool! Way to go Astrowatt!

I love this, that it seems every week I read about some new way of making photovoltaic cells thinner and cheaper.

You can now purchase old style polycrystalline modules at less than a dollar per watt, retail, and in any quantity. So, the future looks very bright indeed for even lower prices. Within a couple of years, solar PV will be way cheaper than a coal powered electrical grid, and that is without us putting a price on carbon emissions.

My hope is that we can build out wind, solar, wave, geothermal power before we destroy our nation through the ridiculous unconventional drilling known as horizontal drilling and hydro-fracking.
