Sorry but every energy source should be explored and utilized to the max to make whatever it is to reduce energy costs. We desperatly need lower energy cost to compete with china. That leaves a little more room for higher workers pay. You may have a favorite way to make energy but if you force it, it is a contrived cost and not good for anyone. Go to work and make your clean energy the best, cheapest, cleanest way to make energy and then everyone will switch to it. Until then, any effort to kill any type of energy, just because you believe one is better than another is totally self serving and not in the best interest of our country.

Hello,
On shale gas production; there is a shocking lack of knowledge in the environmental community of the effective,in use, green fracking technology called LPG fracking. It is a waterless fracking system that uses gelled LPG [ mostly propane] to frack and is then 100% recovered at drawback as a gas mixed with the harvested natural gas.No toxic chemicals are used, there is nothing to dispose of , no salts, metals, or radioactive isotopes are brought to the surface [unlike water propane does not react with the rock strata ], truck traffic is dramatically reduced, and methane ,carbon-dioxide air pollutants are far less at well clean-up.
The inevitable development of shale gas should convince environmentalist to push for the smallest environmental footprint. That is what LPG fracking offers J.O.
