Rather unfortunate; we get TONS of sun where we are.

Even if “adding more solar storage capacity will destabilize the grid” HECO can stabilize it with using the current fossil fuel fired generators. I think there is something else not being revealed about this that lawmakers are not explaining why the State of Hawaii doesn’t encourage solar, wind, and geothermal to the Hawaii grid.
