Wants wrong with burning natural gas without any CO2 or other GHG emissions? That guy wants to end coal, too. He says it costs "less than coal generated electricity."

I don't know if we have the resources or the time to wait for solar to replace coal.

This guy in Austin, TX has launched a "solution" (he says) that can burn natural gas clean and replace coal in 10 years while "eliminating 80% of the CO2 and GHG emissions." I think he's figured out an inexpensive way to provide oxygen and nitrogen to power plants. I remember from college that combining oxygen (instead of air) with natural gas creates the same heat with half the natural gas and no NOx emissions. It must also reduce the CO2.

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj3Zc-SF0YE

He's working on a bunch of important problems.

When you don't count the cost of coal and oil in the equation, yes they come out cheaper. But only by not counting costs. Lets do a national draft, everyone between 18-28 must spend 5 years full time at 2xMin wage installing solar/wind/eff projects. We will call it the Clean/Green army. You can only get out by paying $200k per month you want to skip and accept a 5% additional tax on your life time income. If we did that then solar/wind would be cheaper but it isn't real cost. Anymore that people are comparing real cost today. When I burn coal and don't pay the medical bills of those I make sick it is the same as having force labor above.
