And own vs. lease leaves out the residual value of the owned system when/if the house is sold.  We&#039;ve seen data that shows installed solar raises house selling price more than the cost of the system.

$4.40/watt is great news.  But it&#039;s still a long way from Germany&#039;s $3.50/watt and that price is based on last year&#039;s panel prices.  What&#039;s it going to take to bring US prices below $4?
