Eureka findlay Media . look up kenape ,these wind turbines can be any size and are silent . But why mess around with wind and solar now TAWKT has been invented . Non stop .river or tidal REH simple ,cheap .silent REH anywhere any time . Wet kenape has been copied , developed in Scotland by Atlantis and now makes the cheapest .cleanest and silent energy in the world . The new tangential axis is even better .Partners and sponsors welcome. 4paz,org

With the continuing drop in solar panel price it becomes more and more reasonable to install solar even if it's going to be used almost exclusively to offset summer air conditioning electricity needs. When you get that far north you've got some long summer days.

Going with wind first makes sense for the location. The price of turbines is low right now due to high supply levels. Don't count out solar in places like Wisconsin as panel prices continue to fall. Large quantity prices are now under $1/watt.

It says the other 45% is coming from landfill gas. Wisconsin isn't really a good location for solar.

"Predicted to produce about 15 percent of the total energy needed, the turbines are part of SCJ’s plan to generate 100 percent of Waxdale’s energy needs on-site with 60 percent coming from renewable energy sources."

I'm guessing that solar is likely to be part of the 60% renewable. The turbines are only the first 15%.
