Yesterday I read that 'Deepwater' had developed and launched a 1 GW offshore-plan.

"Offshore wind power is also forecast to pick up strongly in Asia. See here and here."

Source: Clean Technica (http://s.tt/13uwl)

The last link here is about a very small offshore test site 12MW.

"The US Dept. of Energy recently announced a $43 million program to jump-start offshore wind power development."

Source: Clean Technica (http://s.tt/13uwl)

Having had a look through the 43 subsidized projects, I roughly estimate that half of the expenses can be reduced by getting (buying) information from the European counterparts.

IMHO, the wheel is being invented twice! Why waste time and money?

Rest of the article: Nice conclusion ! Thanks Andrew.
