Enlighted inc. Announces $14 Million in Funding
October 10th, 2011 by Elizabeth Smyth
Enlighted inc., a building sense and control company, announced the closing of a $14 million round of funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Draper Fisher recently.
The funding will support growth and fuel efforts to deploy enlighted’s commercial energy management platform, which provides lighting monitoring and controls. According to the company, the system is “designed to achieve between 50-75 percent energy savings in existing customer facilities.”

“We’ve created what we believe to be the simplest, most cost effective advanced lighting control system on the market,” Tushar Dave, Chairman and CEO of enlighted inc. said.
Lighting control systems, along with energy efficient lighting are key components of energy cost savings, since lighting consumes about 35 percent of commercial building electricity. Quantifying these projected cost savings will be critical to enlighted, as research has shown that costs remain driving factor behind investments in retrofits.
Enlighted’s control technology is currently in use at several facilities.
