This was the time to be as inclusive as possible. Offer a lot of tax cuts and regulation reviews in order to get Republicans to come to the table. Give a speech that most Americans would appreciate.

If the Republicans continue to act like spoiled children and accept nothing but what they want then they will look even worse to voters and we will have a better chance of returning the House to Democrats.

The money for tax cuts is to be offset by closing corporate loopholes.

If you don’t see the job promotion parts then try re-reading. Start with this…

It will create more jobs for construction workers, more jobs for teachers, more jobs for veterans, and more jobs for long-term unemployed. (Applause.) It will provide — it will provide a tax break for companies who hire new workers, and it will cut payroll taxes in half for every working American and every small business. (Applause.) It will provide a jolt to an economy that has stalled, and give companies confidence that if they invest and if they hire, there will be customers for their products and services. You should pass this jobs plan right away. (Applause.)”

+ bonuses for hiring people
+ bonuses for raising wages (which gives people more money to spend, which means more people will have jobs selling them something)
+ investment in schools & infrastructure projects that will create a lot of jobs
+ with all those jobs created above (& individual, working class tax cuts — not cuts for megacorporations), the economy gets rolling a little more and more jobs are created
