Robert Bryce ‘works’ for the Manhattan institute, not the NY Times.

Looks like the Manhattan institute would argue the earth is flat, for the right price.

Unfortunate the NY Times is allowing lobbyist types to write op-Ed instead of properly stamping ‘advertisement’ on such columns, diminishes their stature significantly.

Robert Bryce is a blisteringly blithering idiot, pimping for ExxonMobil and the Kochs. But then Stewart Brand, who should know better, repeats this same sort of bilge. Thankfully, we have the Rocky Mountain Institute, the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, among others, to show how bankrupt these sorts of arguments are – plus thousands of successful renewables projects.

Great points! This land use issue sounds like so many of the false arguments we have been hearing surrounding EV adoption. If it were your neighbor or or someone you knew that was making up such false stories we might think less of them and have serious doubts about their judgement. But what how do we react if it is discovered that one corporation or one industry is behind such stories.

I’d like to see small wind turbines placed on top of light poles, and I’d like to see solar panel arrays shading large suburban parking lots.
