Where is the Volkswagon of the electric car for the consumer that wants to just to get back and forth work without all the bells and whistles, but can use a solar canopy or rooftop unit to charge their swappable battery?
German designers used to good at this. Where are they now?
It is well known that Germany has set aside billions for the development of electric cars. Lets hope an affordable one comes out of those subsidies that challenges American and Chinese thinking. Making a car using solar and wind assisted power (in a manufacturing plant) that feeds primarily robotics has to be a little more cost effective. When will the average consumer start seeing the cost advantages?

    And that’s great news.

    Electric Mini Cooper, anyone?
