Even that bastion of supposed journalistic excellence, the BBC, have been atrocious in their coverage of global warming – so eager to present ‘both sides’ they have distorted the truth… although a recent review should force that to change and the views of the ‘sceptics’ will get a lot less coverage.

Keep sticking it to ‘em!

bottom line is, in a democracy, people should be informed. and we are not..

My main point/concern is the continuous spewing of big lies, and it seems they are even getting craftier at how they spread them. For example, this latest one that went from a poorly conducted Roy Spencer study to an obscure online journal to the Heartland Institute to Forbes to Yahoo! News & everywhere in between. And seeing it pop up in Google News with the titles I saw I realized how much the common public is being confused on the clear science. But, yeah, getting a head start on the solutions and making it clear that they are win-win-win-win technologies is perhaps even more important, at this point at least.

Everyone who will accept the science already does. Everyone in denial will remain in denial long after New York and London slide under the waves. And all the apathetic people in the middle will remain apathetic.

We need to focus on ‘selling’ the solution – a future utopia where all our energy arrives for free via sun and wind and brings net economic and social benefit. That’s the only way we can ‘fix’ the climate change problem.

Of course, we still need to push back against the Big Lies and communicate the latest science – but the major focus needs to be advocating for clean energy… just as you guys are doing.

And he clearly ‘gets it’ on energy – especially the BS that floats around the subject.
