One of the limitations that I see to implementing geothermal for individual houses is the cost of drilling. Other than the drilling it is basically plumbing. This looks like a great method for a much lower cost and could provide jobs with a small investment.

I’m not sure “groundwater level is low” is a good reason to let innocent children die of dehydration and diseases related to dirty and contaminated water.

Things like this will only worsen one of the problems… In most/all of these countries the groundwater level is already dropping, in some of them very rapidly. Giving easier access to make that happen will not help the situation in the medium-to-long run.
