- Have the saddle bag equipped with a foldable solar charger.
-Of course a compartment for a swappable battery (why wait for a charge?).
-Meet with reps from around the world so that a standard can be set for the specifications for the electrical charging.
-Align with a company that produces solar canopies (either anchored or portable).
-Allows for the coming technology to use a solar ink produced system (to help lower the ongoing energy cost) and keep the weight of the vehicle to a minimum.
-Produces a lifetime cost comparison to solar vs gas usage, but does not use this as a profit tool, when considering the bike cost.
-Checks out the Ford Focus solar assisted factory to see how to power their production facility. Hopefully this results in a + cost for energy usage.
- Uses the most advanced robotics that the world has to offer. The production line should run 24/7 without the cost of employee benefits wherever possible.
-Develops a countrywide network that educates local building departments about the safety awareness towards the method of energy.
-Develops a user friendly web site that clearly shows every facet of the maintenance of the vehicle (parts supply, owner repair assistance, local mechanics etc.).
-Proactively educates the local politicians as to the features and benefits of the vehicle. Promote the use of designated bike lanes on major streets.
-Assists in providing funding for a local solar charging infrastructure in the areas targeted for sales.
-Uses a key event (superbowl as an example) to manifest the highlights of the vehicle. A top aggressive and forward thinking advertising agency would definitely be a consideration. Highlighting the efficiency of the motor (electric vs gas) would be a benefit.
-Display/Feature the product in every race around the world.
-Have a loud sound effect similar to a gas vehicle being “gunned” so the user can impress bystanders with. Along the same lines.. make sure that the quietness of the vehicle does not present a hazard to pedestrians who are used to more sound – especially the hard of hearing or deaf.
-Some bikes have a feature that allows for folding. This makes it more storable and travel friendly. If a way to secure (against theft) or minimize the space used is developed, it may make the product more salable (for volkswagon has a foldable compact bike available as an accessory) .
-Have the product available in several ranges of affordability. Parts replacement should also be affordable.
-Promoting the development of a local solar charging infrastructure for every area that the bike is sold to is important. A charging station where a battery can be replaced or recharged should considered. Sharing this information with developers of wheelchairs could be considered too.
-Pollution statistics could be shown as an electric vs gas vehicle to make the consumer aware of the contribution to a cleaner environment.
-An on board computer could be an accessory. This would allow the rider to use any local cell tower for navigation, music, local charging station, etc..
