yeah, i can totally relate. love the moderate exercise & LOVE the HUGE financial savings. it’s just a better & more relaxed lifestyle.

Your story resonates with me. I’ve lived without a car for over 15 years now and have ambition to own a car. I lived in central Europe for a decade where public transport was excellent.
Here in Australia it’s a little harder but I live relatively close to a railway station. The 15 or so minute walk is good exercise. Mainly however I’m able to live on less income as I don’t have to keep up the constant costs of looking after a car. The traffic in Sydney especially is a nightmare which I’m more than happy to avoid. I do shop more frequently for groceries but luckily I live a short walk from a supermarket. My situation allows me to do this and I’m happy to do so.
