I live in Tucson and have seen these homes. The neighborhood is just south of downtown in an area that we hope is up and coming. I was glad to see the price you listed because I looked into these home before the housing crash and they were selling for over $400,000.

haha, yeah, they built it like a typical suburban, car-oriented house. as i wrote about, “My big question — where are these located? If they are located in the suburbs, the biggest energy challenge has been dropped.” i didn’t want to dwell on the negative too much, but it’s a little disappointing to see a ‘net-zero’ house that’s obviously car-oriented.

This is tangential, but what an awful house! The design just shouts “This building is a place where you can put your car. Oh, and also there are some other rooms.”
