Last month (18 February), according to Smith Electric Vehicles, Camp Pendleton took delivery of their first two Smith Newton electric trucks, the order for which was reported on Smith's website last December.

Smith's ceo has previously indicated that the location of the company's next production facility (the second of twenty that they aim to open across the USA) would be announced during this first quarter of 2011. If still on schedule we might hear something within days. California is widely tipped as the likeliest area - which I guess will please the Marines if the site is anywhere near Camp Pendleton.
