Susan, you are correct that efficiency is the low hanging fruit in emission reduction. Sola, ET3 is a new transportation technology that can provide 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than the most efficient electric car or train. And ET3 can do this without oil (or coal, or nuke) derived power.

I hope that by the 80% reduction, we, in the EU, manage to reduce our oil dependency as well.

That would make the EU ultra-powerful when peak-oil starts having hard effects worldwide.

Would be nice to avoid going back to the stone-age when cheap-oil based economies come to an abrupt end.
