If I earn $1.00 and today the government taxes me say $0.25 on the dollar. If taxes are to go up to $0.28 but instead they are held to the same level I don’t think any of us would say we’ve MADE $0.03 from the bill. We’ve been able to KEEP the money instead.

I understand what you’re trying to say but feel your wording is disingenuous.
