I’m somewhat concerned, that this great locomotive is not US manufactured. Many more job would have been created.

They are going to replace an older electric locomotive running on the Northeast Corridor. This is a very good thing as the new locomotives will be much more reliable. To replace diesel traction on a train line electric wiring has to be installed over the tracks, a major capital expense.
