But then GE got out of the offshore wind biz, and so they had to find a new supplier. Considering its this nation’s first offshore wind farm, it is hardly reasonable to demand that we have a US supplier up and running, already.

But ratcheting up the approval rate, as this administration is doing, is the first step to developing our own suppliers. As it is now, there are no US manufacturers of offshore turbines at the worldclass level.
