Renewable power is a better investment: numbers in this previous story:

The better economics of renewable power should make Senate Republicans pro-renewables, I agree, however they are paid so much more than Democratic Senators to oppose any competition with fossil energy. About 75% of fossil energy funding goes to the Republican members - scroll down to the graph by Party:

Where Democrats get equivalent funding, they too oppose at least some policy, (look at Mary Laundrieu of Louisiana on cap and trade). Although she has supported many clean energy bills, (to add a renewable energy standard for example), she also is not a likely supporter of the climate bill.

Of course, how could the nasty Republicans oppose something that is so obviously perfect such as clean energy bills that will make everything perfect?

Only cold-hearted republicans oppose something so perfect.

Of course, here's an interesting aspect, it seems that the more you are to the left, the less you know about economics.

And frankly a lot about the "green" economy is a model that just screams complete and utter disaster, of course, foolish humans as we all are, we will follow the pied piper until it is too late to realize what happened.

Like model in Spain which did nothing but overtax people and raise prices to an alarming level, which is the opposite effect.

Peace out.
