In the UK it is very usual for Golf Clubs, footbal clubs, etc. to incorporate rainwater harvesting and non-electric sewage treatment (Biorock)into the design of their sites.
It seems that the US is way behind in the sustainability stakes if the above article qualifies as ‘News’.

J, chill out on the islam bashing. You depict a small extremist sect of Islam as the whole. It is unfortunate that this small minority gets the bulk of the media news in America but in no way is it representative of the billions of people who live peaceably a practice Islam. Do not make the assumption that a part represents the whole.

As to the golfing, I’m glad they are doing something. The sport is too popular to cut out entirely. It is not green but these steps are a great movement forward. Nice article.

Most “motorized vehicles” travesing the course are electric and are an ever improving technology leading to greater electric or all electric cars. There are currently more than 5 million electric vehicles in the world today.

As for a farce of an activity, well consider that 20% of the human race (mozlams) are brainwashed into believing that the total destruction and enslavemnt of all of us in the western world is the only true objective in life and that they must strive to directly or indirectly support this in the service of allah.

Compared to golf, your worries are very misplaced.

I would glady have a 1000 world clsss golf courses instead of the cancerous scourge of izlam and feel a whole lot greener !

I don’t think golf can be considered in any way green. People traverse the course in motorized cars, fly from place to place to take part, and transform landscapes as diverse as jungles and deserts into some uniform photocopy of the Scottish highlands with irrigation and clear-felling. As golf presents itself as the sport of the wealthy to south east asia, acres of jungles are being destroyed to facilitate this farce of an activity.
