Great article Zachary!

Good follow up to the breaking story from last year, where Lorrie Vogel discussed Nike's work with Green Xchange, and why she thinks this is the best way to advance sustainable design.

I totally agree with you about being skeptical in a world where more and more companies are putting a green spin on their marketing. That being said, it sounds like Nike really is stepping it up! I especially love moving away from offsets and participating in GX! Maybe next time I need new shoes, I'll buy my first pair of Nikes.

Hi Zachary, really great article on Nike's sustainable practices. If I may, I wanted to share with you another very cool thing Nike is doing with their used printed advertisement banners. They are repurposing their used pvc-free vinyl into cool laptop bags or gym bags. Those bags then go to different organizations, high schools as donations or even to employees. I've posted some photos of both the banner before and after, as a laptop bag. Here's the link, if I may. http://www.pointimaging.com/blog/?p=583

Thanks and again, great article.
