We don&#039;t have to agree that burning natural gas is a better alternative than burning coal.



We don&#039;t have to agree that energy use and the choices are a worldwide problem and not a local problem.



If there is a source of natural gas and it can be gotten out of the ground in a cost efficient and low damaging way it behoves us to get it out because it is a better alternative than coal.



If methane generation from cow manure is a cost effective way to SUSTAINABLY create a portion of our global energy needs then we need to investigate that.



Holding down an approach because it is damaging the environment is one thing. Holding down an approach becuse of another approach that will never produce enough energy for the world is a completely other thing and should be stopped because of its illogic and Luddite leanings.</description>
