Cruise ships have so much refrigeration on board, to cope with the tons of food being stored for long periods of time to feed hundreds of people. many ships are looking to reduce energy costs and the amount of fuel being used by reducing the amount of time the compressors are running. a product from the UK which is NSF certified for food safety is hitting our shores. The Endocube which is a small box which fits over the thermostat produce, reduces compressor starts as much as 50% and keeps food at a constant temperature. check out the website www,endocubeinfo.com

General Electric’s Alternative Engine technology is being added to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Ships, not to adapt the existing fleet, but to ensure that the alternative technology in used in the development of all new ships.this is a good thought.
