This is a great idea if the current management plan for the Garcia River Forest was to continue harvest indefinitely. This is unlikely… So are we paying a land owner money to not harvest trees that they probably weren’t going to anyway… And if so… Is this easement for eternity? Let’s see some of this money put into alternative energy systems that do not emit as much CO2.

Photosynthesis is a process that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds, especially sugars, using the energy from sunlight.

Hahahaha!

By the looks of that kiosk, enough resources were used to make it to offset about a years worth of flights.

Now I’d really like to know how much of that is used for the intended purpose, and how much is making some “greeny” rich.
