Do our extremely limited public funds really need to go towards this? Did SF DOE do a needs assessment? I’d love to see the data supporting a demand for this frivolous product. I mean, if you already have an iphone, can’t you just google once every 5 years where your old monitor should go? I think this is an extremely poor use of limited funding when SF has MANY issues that are not being dealt with at all.

It’s such a shame that we now have this totally unnecessary iphone app, while we lay off hundreds of people from SF DPH. Come on Gavin, you’re no Obama, but you can do better than this.
