If much of the methane emitted from landfills is result of decomposition of organics then won&#039;t bioplastics in large-scale actually create more environmental damage if left in open landfills? It seems that thorough waste-management/gassification methods would need to come along before that shift can be helpful environmentally.



This team seems to have the technology but I haven&#039;t received responses from them about how their projects are going.
