Diversified renewable energy solutions provider Leviathan Energy announced today that it will officially commence US sales and marketing efforts for the Wind Energizer, its patented technology for increasing the power output of large wind turbines.

Speaking from the American Wind Energy Association’s annual conference and expo in Chicago, CEO of Leviathan Energy, Dr. Daniel Farb, said he expects “that with the very fast return on investment the Wind Energizer can deliver, sales will be quite strong.”

Depending on details of each custom installation, the Wind Energizer will cost approximately $300,000-$500,000. When all the benefits, including carbon credits, are factored in, Leviathan expects that return on investment will be 1-3 years.

“We look forward to witnessing the transformative effects our technology will have on the wind industry throughout the country,” said Dr. Farb.

The Company plans to immediately begin making sales to wind farm operators across the US. The launch of the sales and marketing of the Wind Energizer comes after the company successfully concluded field tests of the product showing an average of a 30% increase in wind turbine output in moderate wind speeds.

I kind of agree with chrisp68, why buy something that isn’t really patentable, why not just pile up the dirt? That is greener anyway! Right? And we can use that money we would have spent to buy more windmills and dirt!!!

$300K to $500K… that is crazy!

Just mound up some dirt around the base of the windmill.

Also, does the “Energizer” have to surround the entire base? Most wind blows West to East.

The article explaining the value of the system was published few days ago. This posting sounds very ‘promotional’. I am hoping Cleantech is an objective organization and not advocating products stealthly.
