Actually, listed everywhere is ARPA-E’s second point in their mission (which you peculiarly omitted):

“…2) reductions of enery-related emissions, including greenhouse gases…”

It’s probably irresponsible for someone to generate invalid controversy for lack of a better topic to blog about. Just a thought.
