The system is intended to operate as a temporary power system, recharged with the sun or with utility power like an electric vehicle. Our latest system increases the solar input with side mounted tilt-up panels.

We also make other platforms with far more solar power input, similar to what Mobile Power International claims to do. We, too, are the manufacturer, and do custom systems.

Mobile Power International has the widest selection and most versatile mobile solar powered generators on the market right now. Our units are designed to run 24-7. Although, we're designing a larger model, our current largest unit generates 3kw off of 18 panels. We can fit them with water pumping and purifying units. We can add a wind turbine to give us around 2 more panels worth of energy. We also have much smaller units available and have the ability to do custom units because we are the manufacturer.

So you are talking about a giant battery here with a trickle charger. You make it sound like it will run a whole lot but in reality a full days worth of sun in the summer sun of Arizona wouldn't even half charge the system. I guess if you camp for a day or two and then recharge over the next couple weeks you would be fine, but then why not just take the batteries with you? A good idea but we need more efficience cells and batteries to make this practical.
