I am very skeptical of batteries in the long term... I realize they are all the Hype now with Li-ions... but there is just bad chemistry there!  While the blogosphere went sour on fuel cells post 2002 (bottom of hype cycle) I have seen slow, steady improvements in performance and drops in costs (membranes, et al)



We cannot assume that &#039;plugging&#039; in - is the default future.  Batteries aren&#039;t going to disappear, but micro fuel cells are coming... and in a decade I think they might surprise the tech world.
