The entire energy demand of the world is about 13 Terawatts a year (13 trillion watts).  The sun deposits 120,000 Terawatts a year on the earth&#039;s surface.  We&#039;re literally swimming in energy, but we&#039;re not smart enough yet to use it.</description>
